I'd like to know if it's possible to use Pen and Ink tools in Word with only a mouse, without using an external tactile device like a stylus, a touchscreen, a tablet, etc. Is there a way to "bypass" this requirement or simply to enable it all the time? The Ink Editor feature for Word is only available for Office subscribers. You may refer to this link for more information.
The thing to remember is that even though the programs are all under the Office name they were originally created separately, Word and Excel by MS, PowerPoint and Visio by external companies who sold out to MS. The point is, they have totally separate origins and code bases.
And that separation has been maintained. For example although they all support VBA, you can't simply port macros from one to another because the fine details of the commands are not the same.
Supposedly UserVoice is now the place that MS wants us to submit all user suggestions and feature requests. There you can make a suggestion. During the start of the process it does a keyword search looking for similar existing suggestions.
You can pick an existing suggestion to vote for and add a comment to or you can submit a new suggestion. Copy the link to the suggestion and post it back in the Answers forum if you had a question started there. Some postings have been acted on with only a dozen or 2 votes and comments. It is also a good idea to provide cross posted links. Put a link back to this answers. That is just the high level identifier with no link to MS specific subsites!
This next link is a wiki with a collection of MS UserVoice. Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help.
